OneWorld Business Class Lounge LAX Review

After spending a few hours at the Flagship Lounge, I decided to take a quick peek at the OneWorld Lounge over at the TBIT. It’s convenient for international flights and pretty large, but lacks natural lighting and isn’t a very welcoming lounge.

Lounge rules require a same-day international business class ticket on a OneWorld carrier or Sapphire elite status with any airline. AAdvantage Platinum members may use this lounge when flying internationally.

Layout and Seating

The OneWorld Business Class Lounge is located on the second floor of the main TBIT area. It is large and has a wider variety of seating available, ranging from bar seating, tables, soft chairs, high chairs, or couches. The lounge has multiple “sections”, but no walls divide them, which makes it really just one massive room.

I settled for a business working desk in the back corner of the lounge which was extremely quiet and has everything one may need to do productive heads-down work (such as writing a review!)

Unlike the Flagship First lounge, this lounge does have a large bar area with a bartender and bar seating. Self-serve stations are limited to only soft drinks, tea, and coffee.

Food and Drink

There were a lot of food dishes available, but none of them looked particularly appetizing enough to warrant a specific picture. They were all in covered warmers that didn’t have glass so you couldn’t see through them (you know those ones you get at the hotel and it’s a surprise what’s underneath?).

Compared to the Flagship Lounge, there weren’t as many complex dishes here. There was simple and straightforward chicken thigh, plain white rice, potatoes…that sort of thing. They certainly tried to cater to the masses without putting a ton of thought in destinations.

Other Amenities

The lounge does have shower suites, though I didn’t stay long enough to explore them. I’m unsure if there is just one or if there are multiple suites available. I will say the restrooms needed a little bit of care. When I visited, I saw multiple overflowing or clogged toilets, bath tissue covered the floor, and a few urinals had bags covering them.

Overall, this lounge is decent if you value quiet time and space. There are barely any crowds and you’re almost certainly able to get a seat. There isn’t any natural lighting and the food is good but nothing special.

Personally, I’d choose the Flagship Lounge over this lounge. However, you may prefer this one instead as it’s convenient for TBIT.
